Dr Ananda (B.Eng, MD, DIC, M.Sc)
The Penciltutor family is headed by Dr. Ananda who is dually qualified as a Mechanical Engineer and a Medical Doctor (M.D.). In 2014, he graduated with a DIC & MSc (Preventive Cardiology) from Imperial College London. He plans the teaching curriculum and also teaches exam preparation techniques. Occasionally, he teaches Math, Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
Mr Tan (B. Bus)
Mr Tan is Penciltutor’s principles of accounts (POA) teacher and he has helped students get distinctions in POA. Employed full-time as a finance manager in a private company, he enjoys teaching at Penciltutor on weekends.
Ms. Zhang (B.SocSci (Hons))
An honours degree graduate from National University of Singapore, Ms Zhang has more than 5 years of teaching experience in Singapore and overseas. She actively engages her students during lessons to continuously check on their progress and to ensure a two-way learning process.
Ms Syikin (B.Arts (Education))
Ms Syikin graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a degree in Education majoring in Geography with a minor in Biology. After gaining experience in teaching at government schools for a few years, she ventured into developing GCSE curriculums for educational institutions before joining Penciltutor as our Biology and Social Studies/Geography teacher.
Ms Ching Yee (B. Arts (Hons))
Ms Ching Yee completed her ‘A’ Levels at Jurong Junior College where she scored distinctions in History, Economics, English Literature. She subsequently graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts degree (Honours) in History. In her classes at Penciltutor, she imparts not just interesting content knowledge but also critical thinking and writing skills to her students.
Ms Hulwana (B.Science)
Ms Hulwana enjoys teaching Maths, Physics and Chemistry to upper secondary students since her school days. She joined Penciltutor to impart the same love she has for these subjects to her students. In her classes, she incorporates practical aspects together with the theoretical components to liven up the lessons for her students.
Angelee (C.H.Ed Bio Medical Sciences)
Angelee has vast experience in teaching Maths and Sciences for almost 10 years. She brings her unique insight from working in the hospital setting for the past few years and adds real life examples to her lessons from her experiences. She enjoys teaching in the evenings and during the weekends.
Ms Meera (B.Mus, M.A)
An alumnus of the University of Sheffield, who holds a Master of Arts (Music Psychology in Education), Ms Meera has previously worked as a diagnostic radiographer at the Singapore General Hospital. She made a mid-career switch and completed her Bachelors of Music degree in Europe in 2013. She oversees the financial administration of Penciltutor and does analysis of students’ exam papers.
